Naija here we go again

I have a list of very events that have occurred in Nigeria that reflects the disheartening unique state of affairs in Nigeria.

First Stephen Keshi who was relieved of his job on October 16, a day after the Super Eagles defeated Sudan 3-1 in Abuja, by the Amaju Pinnick-led board of the NFF (who re-called former coach Shaibu Amodu in an interim capacity) but has been asked to return to his post as part of reconciliatory moves in the Nigeria Football Federation as ordered by President Goodluck Jonathan.

The Acting- Inspector General of Police, Suleiman Abba, Thursday, ordered the removal of security aides attached to Alhaji Aminu Tambuwal,Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in view of his recent defection by the Right Honourable Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, the , from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The National Organsing Secretary of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Alhaji Abubakar Mustapha on thursday  handed over the presidential nomination and expression of interest forms to President Goodluck Jonathan as the party’s sole candidate for the 2015 presidential election. Even with threats of possible mass defection, the Party (PDP) has also approved automatic tickets for all its governors seeking second terms in office.

The CPC had  earlier this year found NBC and Coca-Cola culpable following findings from an administrative panel set up over a consumer complaint regarding two half-empty cans of Sprite manufactured by NBC under the license and authority of Coca Cola Nigeria Limited.
As a repercussion for ignoring the summons, a two-count charge has been served against Coca-Cola Nigeria Limited and its Managing Director, Mr. Adeola Adetunji, the government alleged that the two accused persons committed an offence by refusing to “attend the hearing of the CPC held in Abuja in relation to investigation of violation of product quality standard under the CPC Act after summons was duly issued and served on you and thereby committed an offence contrary to Section 18 of the CPC Act Cap C. 25 of the Federation of Nigeria, 2004 and punishable under the same section.”

All hail the giant of Africa.
