Of course we know the cost of a meal at any fast food, fees associated with hiring a cleaner and the available laundry/dry-cleaning rates, so your vast attention is deeply cherished.
             Due to our huge, insatiable appetite, we tend to have two or more of you in our lives, but don't let that disturb you, just keep doing what you know how to do best.
Even when we are egoistic and pick fights with you especially during holiday seasons, please forgive our excesses, the truth is either we are broke and too proud to let you know, or something/someone else recently captured our short attention span, or we are being mindful of outside competition for your attention, especially from those so called married men.
              Really, what could we do without you, God willingly in the not too distant future, we would pop the question and make this deal permanent.

Dear Wife,
              No one can deny the sacrifices you put into building the home, raising the kids and catering to my needs, even to the detriment of your aspirations. I write this letter, to let you know that your efforts are deeply appreciated, and if no one sees your efforts, your God in heaven who sees in secret would definitely reward you.
              Though pride may sometimes get in the way of my decision making process, don't be fooled cause like a little child, i love being pampered and fed, food and all. Anti-Syrian official killed when car bomb rocks Beirut

Beirut, Lebanon (CNN) --A top Lebanese intelligence official known for his anti-Syrian stance was killed Friday in a massive explosion that shattered a normally peaceful neighborhood in Lebanon's capital, Beirut, the country's news media reported.The attack, which killed Brig. Gen. Wissam al-Hassan and at least two others, has heightened fears that Syria's civil war is starting to boil over into neighboring Lebanon.

Saad Hariri, a Lebanese opposition leader and former prime minister, said that he had no doubt who was responsible: Syrian President Bashar al-Assad. He accused the Syrian leader of "killing his own people" and said "he will not think twice" about killing Lebanese in order to protect himself. 

"The message from Damascus today is anywhere you are, if you are against the regime from Lebanon, we will come and get you," said Hariri, who blames the 2005 assassination of his father, former Prime Minister Rafik Hariri, on Syria's government. "No matter what you try to do, we will keep on assassinating the Lebanese."

Wife of President Goodluck Jonathan, Dame Patience, returned to the country on Wednesday after spending about seven weeks abroad. Mrs. Jonathan arrived at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja from a foreign country widely believed to be Germany. She returned in one of the aircraft in the Presidential Fleet As soon as she alighted from the aircraft, she denied media reports that she went abroad for cosmetic surgery. She also denied being an in-patient in a German hospital on account of a terminal disease, adding that her husband loved her physique.

The wife of the President, whose dressing was devoid of the usual heavy jewellery, said that the prayers of Nigerians sustained her during what she called her “period of trial”.She said, “I am happy to be back in Nigeria. There are a few Nigerians that are saying whatever they like, not what God planned because God has a plan for all of us.“God has said it all that when two or three are gathered in His name, He will be with them. Nigerians gathered and prayed for me and God listened and heard their prayers, so I thank God for that.”

Nigerian Police Force fires Sergeant Lucky Orji 

The Nigerian Police Force has dismissed a Sergeant identified as Lucky Orji for allegedly instigating a mob to kill four students of the University of Port Harcourt on October 5, 2012 in Aluu in Rivers State.
Deputy Force Public Relations Officer, Frank Mba, told Channels Television on Wednesday morning during a breakfast programme, “Sunrise,” that Orji’s dismissal followed Tuesday’s confession by one of the suspected killers, David Chinasa Ugbaje.

The dismissed policeman and a colleague were alleged to have stumbled upon the angry mob beating the students, Mba said. “The officers were not even sent to the scene; he (sergeant) went on his own, outside the code of conduct and professional ethics of the job.
“One was professional to ask the mob to stop and the other asked them to continue,” he said.
He said the fact that the police were prepared to prosecute Orji was a measure of its resolve to put an end to all forms of impunity in the Nigerian Police.

Muslim Herdsmen Attack Christain Village

Nomadic Muslim herdsmen attacked a Christian village in central Nigeria over long-running land disputes, killing at least 30 people in their latest assault, police said Wednesday.
In Benue state, the attack Sunday targeted a rural village of Christian Tiv people called Yogbo in the state, police spokesman Daniel Ezeala said. After the attack, those living there fled, community leader Daniel Tsenghul said. 
The Tiv and the Hausa-Fulani herdsmen have previously fought over land in Benue. In December, authorities said fighting between the two groups displaced some 5,000 people.

Meanwhile, a bomb detonated Wednesday morning in Potiskum, Yobe state, which targeted soldiers in the city trying to fight the radical Islamist sect known as Boko Haram.
Security forces later cordoned off large portions of the city and began a door-to-door search, state police commissioner Patrick Egbuniwe said. Residents there said they heard gunshots throughout the day as soldiers raided civilian homes. At least four homes were set ablaze by soldiers, the residents said.

In our present economy, it is commonplace to desire to further your education. This could give you an edge above the rest to either attain higher management positions, or facilitate a career move.

For instance, after I had completed an online career assessment test, the report showed that I should consider a career path in management, community and social services, or entertainment.

After picking a post –graduate course, then remains the decision of where to study.

I recently applied for an international post graduate study program, and these are some of the factors that helped me narrow down my search for the right university.

Maid boils employer’s 3-month-old baby

A maid, Nokuthula Nyathi, of Emakhandeni is alleged to have boiled the infant in a container on Wednesday last week. This was apparently in revenge to her employer’s failure to pay her on time.

The infant’s mother, Karen Dube, collapsed when she saw her baby in the container.
The maid was arrested a day after the gruesome murder and appeared before Western Commonage magistrate, Mr Richard Ramaboea facing murder charges. She was remanded in custody to 23 October.
Some residents said the maid and her employer had a turbulent relationship.
It is understood that the maid usually gets paid on the first day of every month but at the time of the murder, the woman’s salary was overdue by two days.

“I do not think that money was the reason for all this. Dube did not trust her because she has caught the maid stealing her belongings on several occasions. The employer tried to fire her but the maid resisted. So I think that might be the major reason behind the cruel deed,” said the source.
It is reported that on the day in question, Nyathi asked Dube to give her her salary. The employer said she did not have the money and promised to get it by the end of the week and left for work thereafter.
Nyathi, however, appeared not to have believed her employer’s promise. She is alleged to have taken the three-month old baby and put it in a container and boiled the infant on a stove.
The maid then took her belongings and left. On her return in the evening, Dube found her baby still in the container and was so shocked that she fell unconscious. The woman was discovered by a neighbour lying on the floor.
An ambulance was called to the scene while the body of the infant was taken to a mortuary.

People i don't care how annoying or naughty your house help or nanny is, as long as he/she is in direct charge of your kids, then you need to a certain extent, constantly confirm and reaffirm her loyalty to you and the kids, treat her nice, when wronged temper justice with mercy and generally keep her comfortable. If you notice signs of increasing aggression from her towards you or the kids, then you need to let her go, no matter how busy or stressful your schedule is. 
This may not guarantee complete immunity from such acts, but it at least gives you a 70% edge over the supposedly "wicked madam".
Research has proven that most notorious acts of house keepers towards their wards are always committed with the intention to pay back, punish their employers (usually the madam of the house) for whatever wrong they think was done against them.
Be prayerful, observant and receptive to feed backs from your kids.

The pop star's right nipple popped out of her silver sequined Zuhair Murad bodysuit while she was on stage on Thursday. It could happen to anyone - particularly if they wear barely there bodysuits.

A "lucky" photographer was able to catch the incident on his camera, which is featured on the following page. For those watching from the audience, it must have been a blink-or-you'll-miss-it moment.

This type of things has happened before. The singer/actress had a similar issue at this year's Academy Awards show. Ironically, she was wearing a Zuhair Murad dress. Maybe she needs to find a different designer.

Porn icon Jenna Jameson turned down an indecent proposal from a stranger at a top New York strip club — politely refusing a well-dressed man who offered her $10,000 to join him in the private Champagne Room.

WHY DO MEN CHEAT?

I was watching the Dzigbordi Show, a social talk show this afternoon and she had with her three gentlemen discussing the age old question of WHY MEN CHEAT? 

The first speaker, a single guy stressed his personal opinion that no man wants to risk having just one woman in his life because that puts her in complete control over his emotions, this he explained justified the need for guys to keep at least two girlfriends at a time.

The second male speaker was of the opinion that love depreciates after marriage, he further expatiated that pressure of living together could generate friction and disagreements between couples and this would ultimately leads to unfaithfulness on the side of he man.

Her third guest speaker also had a different point of view, he argued that faithfulness was dependent on the strength of the marriage commitment between both parties involved, and the existing post nuptial plans. He explained that before marriage, couples should draw up short and long term post nuptial plans, of  what they intend to achieve after wedlock as individuals and together as a couple. Intending couples must also discuss their marital expectations, and agree on a commitment level, this would help both parties stay focused and committed to the union even in the face of trials.

Quite an interesting conversation but the truth be told there is no one true answer to the question Why do men cheat? For different individuals have different explanations for their acts of infidelity towards their partners. 

Here are two pointers on fidelity I think you should know. 

·         You can’t force your partner to be faithful to you. He/she must truly want it as bad as you do.

·         That you are faithfully committed in your relationship does not automatically imply that your partner also is.

·         Infidelity is the major reason behind many failed marriages within and outside the country.

However after all said and done, I quite agree with the third speaker that intending couples should discuss their individual expectations before getting married. It better prepares them towards the life commitment of understanding each other, living and working together as a couple.

If as a man or woman you value your privacy, the need to come and go as you please, and to talk to whomever you choose, then you should make it clear to your partner from the word go and save him/her the heartache of trying to tame you.  

No couple should allow love depreciate after wedlock, though it could waiver under the physical and financial pressure of living together, having kids and building the home, however both parties must work at remaining  truly passionate about each other. 

Having date nights, vacationing together and keeping it fresh in the bedroom you know what I mean, are some ways in which couples can keep the fire burning in the marriage. Marriage should not be regarded as a prison sentence rather it should be a mutual lifelong decision between two parties sharing the same core values and principles of protecting, cherishing and loving each other in good and rough times.

KANYE WEST FLIPS OUT Over Reggie Bush Questions


Kanye West got mad ... real mad (Joe Jackson) ... at a paparazzi in Miami last night ... after the snapper fired off some questions about Kim's ex-BF Reggie Bush. 

Kanye and Kim Kardashian were leaving a dinner date in Miami Beach, when the photog -- NOT OURS -- shouted, "Kim did you know Reggie is here [in Miami] having dinner?"
The pap continued, "Did you wanna go congratulate him on his pregnancy?".
That's when Kanye snapped -- angrily rushing after the female pap after grasping for her camera -- but never actually striking the woman.  Kim was smiling during the entire confrontation. 

K&K then got into a waiting Rolls Royce Phantom and left the scene. 

Afterward, the pap told other photogs, "Kanye West just tried to beat me up."


Gary Collins Dead at 74

Gary Collins, a legendary TV actor and host, died early this morning in Biloxi, MS at the age of 74.
He passed of natural causes just before 1:00 AM at Biloxi Regional Medical Center.
Collins' resumé is a mile long ... having appeared on episodes of such hit shows as "Fantasy Island," "Charlie's Angels," "Alice," "The Love Boat," "Police Story" ... the list goes on.

Collins was also known for hosting the talk show "Hour Magazine" and from 1980-1988 and hosted the Miss America Pageant from 1985-1989.He married former Miss America Mary Ann Mobley in 1967 and the couple had one child together. They separated last year.Collins also had two children from a previous marriage.

Lindsay Lohan My New Sibling Will Be ... 

Lindsay Lohan and her dad might be in the middle of a nuclear flight, but LiLo's still gotta start her sisterly duties in three months ... and TMZ has learned the new baby is gonna be a BOY (phew).

Grammys give Whitney Houston a glittering salute

Whitney Houston was given a final sendoff by the Grammys on Thursday as Halle Berry, Britney Spears, Jennifer Hudson, Usher and other stars shared their memories and performed in homage to the late singer.

Academy-award winner Berry made a tearful introduction at the "We Will Always Love You: A Grammy Salute to Whitney Houston" special, and praised the "unforgettable" performer.

People view the wealth of men of God from different angles. While some think there’s nothing bad living a good life filled with abundant wealth, others believe men of God are just supposed have enough, and that their calling doesn’t require excess.

Whichever way you choose to look at this, everyone has a right to their opinion.

Here are the five pastors Forbes think are the richest in Nigeria.

1. Bishop David Oyedepo

Estimated net worth: $150 million

David Oyedepo is Nigeria’s wealthiest preacher. Ever since he founded the Living Faith World Outreach Ministry in 1981, it has grown to become one of Africa’s largest congregations. The Faith Tabernacle, where he hosts three services every Sunday, is Africa’s largest worship center, with a seating capacity of 50,000. Oyedepo owns four private jets and homes in London and the United States. He also owns Dominion Publishing House, a thriving publishing company that publishes all his books (which are often centered on prosperity). He founded and owns Covenant University, one of Nigeria’s leading tertiary institutions, and Faith Academy, an elite high school.

2. Chris Oyakhilome

Church: Believers’ Loveworld Ministries, a.k.a Christ Embassy

Estimated net worth: $30 million – $50 million

Last year, the charismatic preacher was at the center of a $35 million money laundering case in which he was accused of siphoning funds from his church to foreign banks. Pastor Chris pleaded no wrongdoing and the case was eventually dismissed. His church, Christ Embassy, boasts more than 40,000 members, several of whom are successful business executives and politicians. Oyakhilome’s diversified interests include newspapers, magazines, a local television station, a record label, satellite TV, hotels and extensive real estate. His Loveworld TV Network is the first Christian network to broadcast from Africa to the rest of the world on a 24 hour basis.

3. Temitope Joshua

Church: Synagogue Church Of All Nations (SCOAN)

Estimated net worth: $10 million – $15 million

Nigeria’s most controversial clergyman is also one of its richest and most philanthropic. T.B Joshua heads the Synagogue Church of all Nations (SCOAN), a congregation he founded in 1987, which accommodates over 15,000 worshippers on Sundays. The Pastor has remained controversial for several years for his inexplicable powers to heal all sorts of incurable diseases, including HIV/AIDS, cancer and paralysis. For miracle-craving worshippers, it’s the perfect seduction. The church currently has branches in Ghana, the United Kingdom, South Africa, and Greece. In the past three years, he has given over $20 million to causes in education, healthcare and rehabilitation programs for former Niger Delta militants. He owns Emmanuel TV, a Christian television network, and is close friends with Ghanaian President Atta Mills.

4. Matthew Ashimolowo

Kingsway International Christian Centre (KICC)

Estimated net worth: $6 million – $10 million

In 1992, Foursquare Gospel Church, a Nigerian church, sent Ashimolowo to open a satellite branch in London. But Pastor Matthew had other ideas and decided to set up his own church instead. Today, his Kingsway International Christian Center is reportedly the largest Pentecostal church in the United Kingdom. In 2009, the church posted profits of close to $10 million and assets worth $40 million. Ashimolowo earns an annual salary of $200,000, but his real wealth comes from varied business interests including his media company, Matthew Ashimolowo media, which churns out Christian literature and documentaries. Ashimolowo’s representatives did not respond to a request confirming his net worth and ownership of all these assets.

5. Chris Okotie

Church: Household of God Church

Net worth: $3 million -$10 million

Pastor Okotie made his first success as a popular pop musician in the 80s. He found the light, embraced the bible and set up the Household of God Church, one of Nigeria’s most flamboyant congregations. His 5,000 member church consists predominantly of Nollywood celebrities, musicians, and society people. He contested and lost Nigerian presidential elections for the third time this year under the Fresh Party, a political party he founded and funds. An automobile lover, he owns a Mercedes S600, Hummer and Porsche among several others

Pakistani schoolgirl attacked by Taliban sent to UK for treatment

The Pakistani schoolgirl who was shot by Taliban gunmen for pushing for girls to be educated has been sent to the United Kingdom for medical treatment, a military spokesman confirms.

14 year old Malala Yousufzai was shot and seriously wounded on Tuesday as she was leaving her school in her hometown in the Swat valley, northwest of the capital, Islamabad. A gunman arrived at her school, asking for her by name. He opened fire on her and two classmates on a bus.

The Taliban claimed responsibility, saying her promotion of education for girls was pro-Western and she had opposed them. In the Swat valley, a one-time tourist spot infiltrated by militants from Afghan border bases more than five years ago, her family and community are praying for her survival.

Her father, Ziauddin Yousufzai, who ran a girls' school, said his daughter had wanted to go into politics. He said that of all the things he loved about her, it was her fairness - her democratic ideals - that he loved the most.

Malala, then a dimpled 11-year-old with dark eyes, shot to fame when she wrote a blog under a pen name for the BBC about living under the rule of the Pakistani Taliban. After which she continually campaigned for education for girls and later received Pakistan's highest civilian prize.

Kidnapped Osun speaker’s wife freed, Abductors killed in gun battle

Muibat, wife of the Speaker, Osun State House of Assembly, Mr. Najeem Salaam, was, Saturday, rescued from her abductors along Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, at Ogunmakin village in Obafemi-Owode local government area of Ogun State by security operatives who acted on tip-off.

Mrs. Salam was rescued by members of the Ogun State Vigilante Service on Saturday at about 5.30p.m. Two of her abductors were also killed while three others were abducted by the vigilance group. The rescue operation is said to have occurred around Ogunmakin on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, located in Obafemi-Owode Local Government Area of Ogun State. Mrs. Salam was kidnapped in Osun State as she left her goods store on Tuesday . The kidnappers then transferred her to Ogun where she was rescued.

The vigilance group, established by the Ogun State Government, reportedly worked on a tip-off by residents of the area, so individuals are please encouraged to report any criminal activities taking place within their neighborhood to the nearest and appropriate security operatives. It could actually save a life.

Nigerian Idol announce Femi Kuti as judge for third season

The producers of Nigerian idol, have announced afrobeat maestro, Femi Kuti, as a judge for the third season of the high flying music reality show. It is not clear if the three-time Grammy Award nominee, has been brought on board to replace Charly Boy, whose presence on the show has not been confirmed. Femi Kuti will join Yinka Davies and Jeffery Daniels on the show.

“We keep bringing in new twists and turns to make the show more interesting, two brand new cities made the audition train and most exciting is our own living legend, three-time Grammy nominee and Afrobeat king Femi Kuti as one of our judges,” Tiwa Medubi said in a statement.

Femi Kuti, expressed his happiness, at being chosen. “An opportunity to be able to impart on the lives of the future of Nigerian music is one I will never say no to,” he said.

Unknown gunmen kill 20 worshippers at Kaduna Mosque

Unknown gunmen earlier today invaded Dogon Daji community in Birnin Gwari local government area of Kaduna state murdering twenty villagers. Those killed included Muslims faithful who were leaving a mosque after morning prayers.The assailants embarked on a house to house search, shooting and killing anyone on sight. Some of the victims were reportedly stabbed to death by the marauders.

While some say the attacks might be a reprisal as the community vigilance group these days capture armed robbers who attack passengers and motorists, others see it as another attack by a yet to be identified sect.

An armed robbery gang, it was learnt wrote a letter to the community, insisting they will revenge and warning of the impending attack.

Already, troops have been deployed to the area as residents flee for fear of further attacks.

Writing or reading about this constant killings in the North is so depressive, It feels like these deaths are never ending. Do we truly want another Pakistan, Sudan  or Cambodia in Nigeria.

Cambodia's former king Norodom Sihanouk, once an absolute ruler who freed Cambodia from colonialism before becoming a tragic pawn through decades of turmoil, died on Monday in a Beijing hospital. He was 89.

A pre-eminent figure in Cambodia's history for seven decades, Sihanouk however will also be remembered as a puppet kept by the Khmer Rouge during their 1970s reign of terror that killed almost a quarter of the Cambodian population.

The quixotic ruler held considerable power in the 1950s and 1960s when, as a young, flamboyant leader, he came to symbolise Cambodia's liberation from French rule in what is now seen as a golden age for an impoverished country long scarred by war.

Skydiver safely jumps from stratosphere over New Mexico

An Austrian daredevil leapt into the stratosphere from a balloon near the edge of space 24 miles above Earth on Sunday and safely landed, setting a record for the highest skydive and breaking the sound barrier in the process.

Cheers broke out as Felix Baumgartner, 43, jumped from a skateboard-sized shelf outside the 11-by-8-foot (3.3-by-2.4 meter) fiberglass and acrylic capsule that was carried higher than 128,000 feet by an enormous balloon.

Baumgartner's body pierced the atmosphere at 833.9 miles per hour, according to preliminary numbers released by Brian Utley, the certification official for the Federation Aeronautic International, at a press conference afterward. Utley said preliminary figures indicate Baumgartner broke a total of three established world records, including the highest altitude skydive, longest freefall without a parachute and fastest fall achieved during a skydive.

Baumgartner landed safely on the ground and raised his arms in a victory salute just 10 minutes after he stepped into the air. Soon he was hugged by his mother and father, who took their first trip outside Europe to see his historic plunge, and his girlfriend jumped up and wrapped her legs around him. 

"It was way harder than I expected," Baumgartner said. Recalling his final words before he stepped into the stratosphere, he said, "Sometimes you have to get up really high to know how small you are."
