Maduka vows to recover Capital Oil debt

The President, Coscharis Group, Dr. Cosmos Maduka, has vowed to get back all the money allegedly owed him by the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, Capital Oil and Gas Limited, Mr. Ifeanyi Ubah.

Maduka, in a document made available to our correspondent on Tuesday, said, “Given the fact that I earned every kobo through my sweat, I will collect my money to the very last kobo. I vow to pursue this matter to the end.

“I and my family will fight with everything to ensure that Ubah repays all the money he owes me. God is my witness.”

Maduka claimed in the document that he entered into a joint venture business agreement with Capital Oil for the importation and sale of petrol.

The basis of the joint venture agreement was that he would provide the funding for the importation, while Capital Oil would be responsible for the importation logistics as well as handle the sale of the product.

Bombings rock Damascus

(Reuters) - Bombs exploded in three districts of the Syrian capital Damascus on Tuesday, killing and wounding dozens, and gunmen shot dead the brother of the parliament speaker in the latest rebel attack on a figure associated with the ruling elite.

The opposition said at least 100 more people were killed elsewhere in the civil war, and Britain suggested offering President Bashar al-Assad immunity from prosecution as a way of persuading him to leave power.

Updates on the Tennis Champions Venus and Serena visit to Lagos

As part of their visit to Nigeria tennis super stars, the Williams sisters Serena, 31, and Venus, 32, were due to meet the governor of Lagos state, hold a tennis clinic at an exclusive club, visit a puberty education class for girls and play an exhibition match before heading to South Africa on November 2.
Venus and Serena have teamed to win 13 Grand Slam doubles titles and won Olympic gold in doubles in 2000, 2008 and 2012. Serena also won the singles gold this year, while Venus won it in 2000. Serena, who beat Maria Sharapova 6-4, 6-3 to win the WTA Championships final in Istanbul last week, is ranked No. 3 in the world. 
Venus, diagnosed last year with an autoimmune disease that causes fatigue, has struggled with illnesses and injuries in recent months and is ranked No. 24.

STOP SIN BEFORE SIN STOPS YOU

The devil would rather that his own counsel be enforced in the earth realm than have God's counsel established instead.
Our struggle with sin is basically a manifestation of the war going on between the forces of good and evil in the spirit realm where the human mind is the battle ground and consequently the medium of expression in the earth realm.
Spirit beings cannot operate on the earth without a human body and as such there is constant contention for the body of man. Your body is the divine license you have to function on earth. Without it, you cannot operate.

And so Apostle Paul says, if you want to live a victorious life and dominion over sin, you will need to take full possession and control of your mind. "I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind i myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin".
What he is saying here is this, every time your focus is the flesh you serve the law of sin. When your mind is preoccupied with carnal things you become a salve to sin: you become helpless so much that even when you desire to do good, as long as you focus on the flesh, sin dominates and overpowers you.

How then do you engage your mind to serve the law of God for victory over sin then? By casting down evil imaginations and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God.
Occupy your mind with the knowledge of the Word of God and through obedience to God and his word, and bring every contrary imagination into the captivity. 2 Cor 10:3-6.

Nollywood distress: Actor’s leg amputated

Just as Nollywood fans heaved a sigh of relief over veteran Enebeli Elebuwa’s steady recovery from stroke-related complications, another Thespian,  Pete Eneh, famous for his ‘fatherly’ roles in Nollywood films, has had one of his legs recently amputated by doctors at Parklane Hospital, Enugu.

Eneh’s travails began last year, after he sustained an injury that later led to a serious infection, thereby making treatment near impossible.

Feelers from his doctors show that the injury degenerated to a sore, which was further compounded by the fact that the actor was diabetic. He spent three months at the hospital before he was advised to get the leg amputated to reduce the risk of the infection spreading to other parts of his body.

The amputation took place on Wednesday, October 24 after efforts to save the leg was unsuccessful. The actor, who is often cast as Patience Ozukwu aka Mama Gee’s husband in movies,  is said to be taking the situation in his stride.

Eneh’s plight brings to the fore, the worsening health condition of some Nollywood practitioners, whose circumstances are generally compounded by financial constraints.

Hurricane Sandy in Nigeria?

Not to make light of Hurricane Sandy and its effect in New York, but my younger sister Nkechi sent this to my phone and i had to share it with you guys.......JCGold

Imagine say a 'Hurricane Akpors' is heading for Naija (Nigeria) in 3 weeks. First and foremost;

1. Prophet T.B Joshua will prophesy the hurricane.

2. The State Governors will hold a press conference advicing the people of the states to remain calm as government is working hard to see how they can tackle the situation.

3. National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) will grant an interview on Channels TV and AIT saying that they are well trained and prepared to handle the crisis. That they are untop of the Situation.

4. The Federal Government will wait for the Hurricane to first land and wipe out States then;

- Hold a day of National Mourning and Prayers and order the flag be flown at half mast.
- Visit the disaster location for a first hand assessment of the damage.
- Visit the survivors camp and share relief material (Mosquito nets, rice and Indomie)
- Set up a committee to investigate the Hurricane and see how we can prevent future hurricanes from visiting Nigeria.
- Release billions of Naira (on Paper) for disaster management.
- Commend the State Governors, NEMA, Red Cross and other emergency services unit for their quick response.
