Temptation

Had an interesting experience this morning. I was at Ajah Market Lekki environ, had to shop for foodstuffs for the house. While shopping I ran out of funds, and walked over to an ATM machine nearby and patiently joined the queue. While waiting, i entertained myself with my phone and was quite engrossed in a game when i overheard increased chatter from behind. I looked back to observe, possibly with the intention of joining the conversation and i noticed three guys standing around with a rather petite lady in their midst.

My Heels don't lie

Do not get me wrong I love my hubby and all, but do you see the pair of killer heels he got me for my birthday.

He seems to ignorant to the passing of time. Years ago this was like, no sweat but seriously as I grow younger these heels look scarier and I wear them less and less often.

I dare not tell him but if you see him walking past you, hola and give him a short lecture on age appropriate gifts. Yeah the tall, dark handsome dude walking by, his mine...Don't hate, Peace.

Addicted

Addicted to the way you make me feel.

10:32pm and I still can't fall asleep waiting for you to call or text me. 

Holding on to my phone so addicted to risk missing your call.

I tune my radio listening to the midnight blues cause those love songs remind me of you. 

Tingling all over thinking of you, missing you, wishing you were here beside me.

Would i seem desperate if I called just to hear your voice. Will you be mad that I woke you up just to say I love you.

What have you done to me to feed this addiction?

Could it be the passion l hear in your voice when you speak to me that draws me to you.

Or your generosity in giving me the finer things of life that locks me down to you.

If you make me a promise, am keeping mine....................Addicted.

Till death do us part

He is dead, a life so young, so vibrant, gone just like that.

Who?

That guy called " till death do us part" just died.

How? 

Well, he became evidently sick since you stopped bothering to offer any excuses to returning home late from work.

He had hoped for recovery after the family vacation to Dubai, but nothing really changed like you had promised.

He got worse hearing you call her name in your sleep and worse as you withdrew from me and your children.

He died just as I found out that the bi.... is carrying your baby.

JEALOUS

What does it mean to be jealous?


Waking up a few hours earlier to spy through my partner's phone while he or she is fast asleep.

Calling him or her out over every text message or phone call from any member of the opposite sex.

33 years later

I noticed that as I become older, I no longer pay particular attention to my birthday. It stands as a reminder to my not so youthful disposition. So today was not so different. Woke up feeling a little low, hubby had called earlier but my kids had forgotten. They seemed quite wrapped up in their separate worlds.

Paranoid

I was paranoid, could this be true I wondered. It was 4.30am quite early in the morning, hadn't been able to sleep.
Tried to fall asleep a few times but woke up soon afterwards. My heart is beating so fast, I get up and walk over to the toilet, I need to clear my head.
I return back to bed, still can't sleep. After all these years I wonder why I let myself get worked up over this?

Is he Justified?

Is he justified, has he been warning you about your poor cooking skills or consistently hinting at your poor performance in bedmatics, is your recent weight gain slowly turning him off, or has he told you a million times to quit with the nagging but you just won't listen.

Is your partner justified to cheat?

Fitness should not just be about exercise, should not just be about putting on the right gear and running twenty miles, or using the treadmill or exercise bike once a month. 

It has to be a way of life, from the food you eat, your daily routine, water/fluid intake, clothes you wear, and our overall physical appearance.

Food is definitely a big deal because as the saying goes "garbage in garbage out". Always have an alkaline food palette with plenty of vegetables, fiber and proteins. Limit the carbohydrates and saturated fats.

We need the energy yes, but in today's society where work is more mental than physical, all that unused energy/sugar is simply converted to fat and stored on your upper arms, belly and thighs etc. consequently the weight piles on.

I love my dessert and snacks so I usually skip breakfast (not good the doctors would say), a high protein and fiber dish for lunch and snacks for dinner.

Lies of adultery

So guys earlier I preached and now I want to break it down even further so let's take this topic home. The male dominated Nigerian society expects women to tolerate adultery, like a bug you just can not get rid off. What say you?

Ladies when I see those nasty text messages or (attempt at seduction) pics I speak up. When he persistently gets home late with no explanation I speak up.  When his phone rings and I sense the panic in his eyes as he ignores the call I speak up. 

Don't get me wrong speaking up does not have to be confrontational. I do not threaten to leave my home, oh no! That's too easy infact the reverse is the case let him know that the only way his getting out of this marriage is if he walked out himself. 

I ain't going nowhere, I just want you to know that i know you are cheating and it's wrong and unacceptable to me and it hurts.

Does that work? Maybe not immediately but the bar has been set and each time he makes that leap he knows his opportunity cost.

The lies of Adultery

Adultery has always been a tolerated evil in African Nigerian, evil because the Bible makes it quite clear that adultery is sin. In our present society it is often seen to be the lesser of two evils, the greater being Polygamy- marriage to more than one woman.Many a women are willingly to turn a blind eye to it as long as "he still caters for me and my children". The golden rule for cheating husbands has always been- avoid getting caught, what she does not know cannot hurt her, "after all I haven't brought another woman to the house yet".


I would like for us to consider adultery from two perspectives:
First the single lady dating a married man and subsequently the married woman having a sexual relationship with a married man (not her husband).
